I’ve Been Tagged!
I was tagged this past week by Roz of Life In Australia. Roz provides very interesting stories about her family’s life in Australia, as well as facts about the country and its history.
When you are tagged, you are supposed to share 7 bits of information about yourself, and then tag 7 more people. You also are to answer the questions of why you love to travel and why you love blogging.
So, here are some tidbits about me:
- I was born in Tennessee, and have lived in 7 other states, including Texas.
- I have read the book ‘Heidi’ by Johanna Spyri at least 30 times.
- My first contact with a computer was in 1987 when my mom bought one. I read all of the user manuals that came with it within a week’s time.
- My first experience with the internet was in 1994, my sophomore year of college, after reading an article about it in our school paper.
- My favorite flowers are not roses - I like roses, but they are not my favorite. Snapdragons take that honor.
- I have owned two cars so far. My first car was a 91 Hyundai Sonata, which I sold to my parents after graduating from college. My second car is a 97 Honda Civic with 109k+ miles on it, but going strong.
- When I was in elementary school I wanted to open my own elementary school when I became an adult. I even filled almost an entire one-subject notebook with my plans. It was mostly modeled after the one-room schoolhouse idea.
Why I love traveling: Traveling is great because you get the chance to see new places and explore new cultures, but in the end, you get to go back home.
Why I love blogging: I love blogging because it gives me the opportunity to share some of what I have learned with others.
Here are the 7 blogs I am tagging:
- A Malaysian Abroad
- Princess Nebraska
- Greys and Things
- Exchange of Realities
- This Fish Needs a Bicycle
- Single Guy Money
- Non-Fiction Lover

Stopping in to say hi, you’ve dropped on me more than anyone else according to my stats. I’m looking around and thought I’d pop over to let you know I’ve noticed.
Just got back in town from traveling…something apparently you like to do. My today blog isn’t about travel; though I’ve recently started one that is.
Hope you’ll pop in to both for a visit.
I don’t have EC going on the travel blog, but hope you’ll like the mini vacation…you don’t have to pack and the best part of that is…you don’t have a mound of laundry to do when you return. lol
Thats what I’ll be doing tomorrow, unpacking and doing laundry.

Thanks for taking up and passing on the tag! It’s amazing, isn’t it, that the internet was so new 15 years ago, yet how would we manage without it today? I think I started using the internet in about 1996 but not really for much else other than email - it’s amazing to think of how much it’s developed since then!
