Do You Want To Meet People Who Are Like You?
Have you recently moved to a new city? Are most of the people you know married or have busy lives of their own? Do you wish there was more to life than going to work, and then going home again? Have you ever wondered how you could meet people who enjoy the same things you do?
There is a way to do this, and you don’t have to join a social club and pay membership fees, or even attend a church.
Meetup.com is a free website which brings together groups of people who think in similar ways or enjoy similar activities. There are as great a variety of meetup groups as there are people.
If you lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and you were interested in volunteering, there is a meetup group called Random Acts of Kindness. This is a pretty active group which has meetups almost every single week of the year. They range from volunteering at a local Soup Kitchen, to manning booths at a Fun Fair for children with disabilities.
Or, if you were interested in the Vegetarian or Vegan lifestyle, there is the Vegan Meetup group. They also are a pretty active group with meetups almost every week. Their meetups vary from eating out at a vegan friendly restaurant to going to a local animal shelter and helping to do needed maintence.
There are meetup groups for people who like to watch movies, play boardgames, runners, bikers, couponers, etc. You can also find meetup groups for people who are wanting to learn different languages such as Spanish. Depending on where you live, the possibilities are endless.
If you are interested in meeting new people who have similar interests as you, why not take a chance and check out Meetup.com !

I’ve never heard of this group. The Random Act of Kindness, I’ve heard in many different capacities. I might mention that to a few ladies who’d love to meet someone. Happily married with plenty on my plate, not for me; but I can see how this would be helpful to lots of busy folks.
Question..being new here to today (have blogged plenty in othe lcations), how and why the click in the middle of your post to read more? I ask lots of questions, it’s my way of learning new things.
Thanks for the nice compliment on my ghan, Life’s Maze.
Sandy
I am so glad you are bringing attention to meet-ups. Not only are they legit (at least through Meetup.com), but they are a great way to meet other outstanding people.
Interesting, I never knew the site existed. Probably when I come to the US sometime this year, I’ll go over the site specifics
